Why Does Flooring Need a 10% Material Allowance?
Ordering exactly the mathematical floor area is usually not enough. Additional material is required for cutting around walls, corners, doors and other room features. HOC’s flooring calculators therefore add approximately 10% extra material for normal cutting and installation wastage.
This is not an extra service fee. It is additional flooring material that may be needed to complete the installation correctly.
